BenQ Canada has announced that it is continuing its concert series into 2005, beginning with its first head Canadian Video Sound Tour with The Waking Eyes, which includes 10 shows, starting in Toronto, ON on February 9, and ending February 25 in Calgary, AB. Opening for The Waking Eyes will be The Marble Index and Boy. In the latter part of 2004, BenQ held four concerts in Toronto, ON for newcomers Ivana Santilli, Stabilo, Not By Choice, and jacksoul.

"BenQ is proud to be involved with this concert series and support the continuous development of the latest Canadian artists," said Jimmy Davlouros, Vice President and General Manager for BenQ Canada. "We constantly strive for innovative ways to connect with our audience and demonstrate our ongoing commitment to bringing enjoyment and quality to life."

The Waking Eyes debut album, Video Sound, has already spawned one Top 10 track at Rock Radio-"Watch Your Money"-and BenQ says that the band’s current single, "Beginning," seems destined for the top of the charts as well. The Company describes their sound as “reminiscent of The Who and the Beatles with New Rock sensibilities”. Based in Winnipeg, The Waking Eyes have opened for such acts as The Trews, Sam Roberts, and Collective Soul.

"It's an amazing feeling to be able to do the one thing we love the most - playing shows,” commented Matt Peters from The Waking Eyes. “Plus having The Marble Index and Boy joining us will make for an awesome night. BenQ cares about supporting new bands like us, and we are thrilled that they are with us for this tour."

All of the BenQ Presents the Video Sound Tour dates will be regularly ticketed shows, except for the February 9 opening night performance at The Rivoli in Toronto, ON. Tickets for the Toronto show are free exclusively by logging on to www.benq.ca or listening to Edge102. In each of the 10 tour destinations, concertgoers will have the chance to win a Joybee, BenQ's portable MP3 player.
